Tribird in the News

Hi from sunny Hudson, Florida! Things are really heating up as we head toward the official beginning of

summer, later this month. Our construction activity at the park is heating up as well, and the transformation is

really starting to happen. Last week we formed several foundations, poured and finished two, and just today

we've built two new garages and will have a third in by the end of the week. Our next modular home, to be

placed atop lot 26's garage, will be arriving wednesday and will be raised into position on Friday. The home

for the Weber's on lot 37 will be the next one, and will arrive early next week. I've included some photos below

showing some of the new construction.

Those of you watching the site from out of state may have heard about our recent tropical storm named

Barry, that made landfall near Tampa Bay over the past weekend. The news reports may have sounded scary,

but all Barry did was to give us some much needed rain as it came ashore about 40 miles south of us. The winds

were not severe and I have not heard of any damage. I've included some photos in this update of the storm

bands passing, with blue sky in between. Florida weather is really quite unique and interesting!

We've had sporadic visits from the Manatee in Hudson Spring and have been seeing them in the open water

also as the Gulf temperature rises. Weekend before last (Memorial Day weekend) we had an encounter with a

friendly sea cow at the Anclote sandbar (a popular boating destination on the weekends and holidays). He

was very friendly and liked rubbing his back on our anchor line (that's anchor rode for you nautical purists ;).

We saw several Dolphins on that same day. I've been seeing Snook in the Spring every few days, some are

real whoppers.

So much for my ramblings, lets get on to the pictures!

Foundations are poured on either side of the Villa on lot 25 and ready for the block crews. Notice the stacks

of block on the right.

Well underway by mid- morning, the work looks like a castle-building contest at this stage.

Two new garages in one day! The one on the right will have a modular home on top by about lunchtime Friday.

Another view of the same sequence of construction looking north from near Hudson Avenue. The trailer glimpsed to the

left is how the modular homes are transported to the park.

Note the other garage being constructed beyond the existing villa.

Both finished!

A closeup view from above of the finished foundation awaiting its garage.

The same foundation with garage in place. The openings at the bottom of the garage are hydrostatic vents and inspection

ports for the next step; internal concrete pumping. At this stage the walls already have the steel re-bar inside the block from

foundation to top rim.

Tropical storm Barry's passing taken from my own backyard.

Looking across the canal from my house, the clouds are receding to the northeast. We got a couple of inches of much

needed rain.

Rain-laden clouds but very little wind (notice the calm water).

Looking out from my driveway. The blue skies don't stay away for long :)

That's all for now! Keep an eye out for new construction updates and news about the weather and fishing!

Till then...

Sean.
