Update February 26, 2007  !!!

This is a view from Hudson Creek looking back on the Park from across the mangroves.

More of Hudson Creek. Note: the large white boat on the left is the one visible from common area around the spring.

This is the point at which Hudson Creek joins the Gulf of Mexico. Straight ahead is open Gulf and you can see the first channel markers designating Hudson's main channel. Being right on the main channel really shortens the trip deeper water!

A view of the spring when the sun is shining nearly to the bottom; beautiful. Often the spring is full of schooling mullet and mangrove (gray) snapper. The photos don't do it justice.

The remains of the old slabs are going away! The broken concrete is loaded into dump trucks and taken to a crusher to be ground into base rock. The base rock will be used in other construction projects.

A nice view of the newly repaved Port Hudson Blvd from the deck of our Wetland Area model.

The shuffleboard courts are being removed with great difficulty. We discovered three shuffleboard courts in all, one on top of the other. Apparantly, when one court became cracked and unuseable another was just poured on top. Sometimes renovating the park is like an archeological dig of previous construction projects.
